While I was online greeting my relatives and friends on Facebook, it crossed my mind to take a peek at Airphil website to check if there is a promo fare since New Year naman. Lo and behold, may promo nga! I immediately checked if there are still available seats for Coron, Palawan but to no avail. Puro sold out :-( Then I tried Caticlan or Kalibo for Boracay (even if I know he is not so keen on this beach kasi daw hindi sya beach person, ang arte! hehe). Whola! I got 4 seats for P12 each for Sept. 23 - 26, 2012! Unfortunately, it was until Wednesday so we decided to take 2 seats instead since our kids have school activities to attend to. I told him that this is our chance for our 2nd honeymoon. And I finally convinced him, sa wakas!!!! (Kahit alam ko napilitan lang sya hehe).
September 23, 2012 (Sunday)
Our 17th Wedding Anniversary. It was also the 40th Wedding Anniversary of my parents-in-law. To begin our day, we heard mass at 6AM. Every mass, our Parish Priest Fr. Gerry Evarola always make it a point to call all the celebrants of the day to greet them before he gives the final blessings. Of course since it was our anniversary, I was quite expectant that he would also call us. But OMG! He called us in front of the altar and made us renew our marriage vows in front of the congregation. Grabe ka naman Father hindi mo naman agad sinabi hindi tuloy kami ready. Gulo-gulo pa buhok ko kasi bagong ligo, basa pa haha.
After the mass, we still had to rush to Manila to buy some school supplies for our little business. Then we had our lunch with our kids and as usual my last minute packing (sanay na ako dyan kasi kaladkarin kami always on the go hehe)
Then at 2PM, we headed to Terminal 3 of NAIA to catch our 4:30PM Flight via Airphils.

Airphil Express(632) 855 9000 Fly with us!
We were at the Terminal before 3PM. Since it was still early, I bought some food to eat before boarding while looking for an ATM machine since we forgot to withdraw ahead. (Bakit ganun walang ATM ang xxx sa airport? Are you kidding me? But of course "kami" meron ayaw nga lang ng ibang ATM card haha). Anyway, we checked the monitor and its time to check in. While on queue, the airline staff asked me if we are going to Kalibo. When I said yes, she was in hurry saying our plane is already waiting for us! Ha?ang aga naman? Pag delayed ang flight, reklamo! Pag maaga naman reklamo pa rin? Ano ba talaga :-) Our flight was 30 minutes earlier, akalain mo yun? Kudos to Airphil Express! Express nga hehe.
Thank God, we arrived in Kalibo safe and sound!
Since we arrived in Kalibo almost sunset, we settled to spend the night there. We did not want to take the risk to travel at night since it is our first time and we are not familiar with the place. Weeks before, I used the Google to find a cheap but descent and safe place to stay. I read blogs about Kalibo and most of them recommend Sampaguita Gardens Resort Hotel (Wait for my next post, naks!). It is near the airport daw but I found it too expensive (P2,200+ a night). Then somebody also recommend Kalibo Queen's Inn at P875.00 per night but no breakfast. With aircon, small TV and queen size bed. Kaso walang hot water at hindi maisara ang pinto ng CR kasi sira na. Plus pagdungaw mo sa bintana, kita mo kapitbahay na naghuhugas ng pinggan. Kaya pala mura haha. Anyway pwede na rin :-)
