This is my first entry to our company's official newsletter - THE CHRONICLES:
But what is summer without an outing? The Underwriting Division hit the beach of Pamarta Bali Beach Resort in Morong, Bataan last May 4 and 5. It was not an easy journey. It took us more than five hours to finally reach the resort due to some troubles beyond our control. But upon reaching and seeing the tranquil place, all the tiredness and exhaustion faded away!
Since we got there nearly lunchtime, we ate our hearts out with our sumptuous lunch. Afterwards, we took advantage of the beach and their infinity pool with its inviting crystal blue water. Other sporty peeps played volleyball on the beach shore. Moreover, we prepared games that made the activity more exciting. The members were divided into two groups: the Team Winners and the Team Losers. As expected, the Team Losers lost all through out.
After the very tiring yet fun-filled games, dinner was served. Some explored the rest of the shore and enjoyed the splashing waves of the beach while others simply had fun and found total relaxation in the Jacuzzi. It was also an opportunity to bond with each other.
The next day was more interesting. Everyone got up early and prepared breakfast. We rented two boats and went island hopping. Our first destination was at the other end of Bataan Peninsula to which the locals call the White Beach. Sands there were finer and whiter. It has a cave with different rock formations. At the far end also lies the controversial Bataan Power Plant. It is one stunning view that we could not help but pose and take a lot of pictures. Truly, nothing beats the beaches of the Philippines.
Next activity, snorkeling! We delved deep under the clear and blue water. Though there were only a few corals and fish, the water is simply irresistible. We all enjoyed floating on very calm water.
Definitely, the trip was a much-deserved break. It was an opportunity to relax, unwind, and bond with everyone. The experience was not only a feast for the senses but every memory of it should be worth going back to over and over again.
