Tarty @ 39

How fast time flies! My Tarty had celebrated his 39th birthday.

Out of that 39 years of existence,  half of it was spent with me then of course with our two wonderful kids. My life won't be the same without him. I am not the perfect wife. He is not also the perfect husband. Our marriage is not perfect as well. But I am so thankful and blessed for having him. And I'm looking forward to spending the rest of my life with him.

Happy birthday Tarty! And advance Happy Anniversary, too ^-^

What else can I give?

I heard a talk about giving from a radio while riding a FX going to my work in Makati City.

The speaker said: Giving is oftentimes synonymous to money-giving. Aside from money, what else can you give? Money is not the only thing important in this world. If you don't have money, you still have the other T's (Time and Talent) to give. As I ponder, I realized that it was true. Since I have no enough money, I have enough time and a little talent to share :-)

TIME : Spend your time wisely. Rather than wasting your precious time with unworthy things, why not serve in the house of the Lord? Join activities in your church like Medical missions. If you are a medical practitioner, then give free check-ups. If you are a teacher, be a cathechist. Teach children the scriptures. You may visit your church and mind you, there is a special task the Lord has assigned for you. True enough in our case, God made us workers of the Church. He assigned us in different ministries like Choir, Family and Life Apostolate and in Couples for Christ as one of the Chapter Heads. Serving these ministries is not easy. Giving up our time for leisure or "gimiks" takes a lot of courage and humility. But as we mature as christians, we learned to prioritize things. But of course, quality time for our family is still important. There are a lot of challenges and oppressions.  But there are more happiness in it! Joys are overflowing...that money can't buy.

TALENT : Did you discover all your talents? Me? No, not all yet. I'm not a singer but I can sing a bit (hindi naman masyadong sintunado kaya pwede na rin hahaha). Actually, my husband's wish is for me to sing a song while he accompanies me in his guitar. Nyaha asa pa. I can't sing alone! But who cares? God sees your heart, your intentions. It is the highest form of praising. We serve in our parish every Saturday (except 1st) as choir. My husband and our son playing guitars. Me and our daughter sing. My sister and brothers-in-law sings and plays the piano respectively. That made us a "Family Music Ministry". For in that way, we are giving Him back the glory He deserves.

Give till it hurts and continue to give until it hurts no more...
